General Waiver
Lariat Jiu Jitsu LLC ("Academy") agrees to provide participant instruction and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (“BJJ”), Judo, wrestling, Muay Thai, and other full contact grappling and striking martial arts (“Martial Arts”) inside the facilities at 607 S Ball St, Arlington, VA 22202 . In exchange, participant agrees to assume the risk of any injury suffered during the course of the instruction and training provided by the Academy and its employees and agents. Additionally, participant recognizes that Martial Arts training is INHERENTLY DANGEROUS and despite safety precautions may still result in serious injury, paralysis, or even death.
Specifically, participant agrees to hold harmless the Academy, its employees and agents, contractors, associates, and other participants from all losses, damages, injuries, causes of actions, claims, or complaints in the event that the participant is damaged or injured in any way during the participation, instruction and/or performance of any exercise or Martial Arts activity associated with the Academy location or during transit to or from the Academy.
Participant further agrees to strictly obey instructors and observe safety rules at all times.
Because of the inherent danger and intense physical demands of Martial Arts, participant understands that they must be in good physical condition to participate in Martial Arts. Participant agrees to inform the Academy about any physical or mental conditions that may prevent their safe participation in the Martial Arts instruction and training provided by the Academy. Additionally, the Academy reserves the right to deny or revoke participant access to Martial Arts training if a disclosed or discovered mental or physical condition will prevent participant from safe participation in Martial Arts instruction and training at the Academy.
Participant agrees that any pictures, audio, or visual recordings taken of them in connection with the training can be used for publication, promotion, articles, shows and advertisement without additional consent and without compensation at this time or any other time.
